Crazy about Laneige

Laneige is a Korean brand if anyone of u haven't heard of this..
It's a high end brand, which means the products are sold at counters in Parkson, isetan etc. Those sold in shelfs of Watsons, Guardian etc are considered as low-end products. But low-end products doesnt mean they're not good~ :D
I like ZA, Maybelline, Loreal and am a big big fan of KATE!
However, the prices of Laneige's products are really not bad and affordable.

Laneige is pronounced “la nej” and rhymes with the word “edge”. It is the French word meaning “snow”.

Laneige products are most popular among Asian women in their late teens to mid thirties, whose primary concerns are nurturing their skin for the most balanced, fully hydrated and healthy complexion possible. ( Just nice for my age ^^)

Had been drooling over Laneige nowadays...
and here's my hauls :
I bought 3 of their star products

First of all is the Laneige Sliding Pact SPF 24 ( for dry skin)
There are 3 types if i'm not mistaken, 1 for dry skin, 1 for oily skin and 1 for normal, and the colours of the casings are different.
I bought colour No.2 - healthy and lively skin
It is 12g/0.4OZ
I lurve lurve lurve the casing!~
You just have to slide open the foundation, and a square powder puff is below the foundation. It has a big plastic mirror in front.
Interestingly, the casing is designed by a samsung designer.
* I'm a sucker for pretty packaging~!!*

My Review : This foundation has very fine powder, which gives a very natural finish and not cakey at all. I love the nice smell of the powder~ At first i feel it's not really good but after a few uses, i found that skin must be well moisturised and if possible use a makeup base. Then the foundation will glide on smoothly and makes ur skin glow~ However, this foundation doesnt give much coverage.

This is another star product from Laneige, which many many Taiwan gurls faved!

My review : After applying this , my skin felt supple and soft. However, my face does feel oily after about 2 hours,maybe it is too hydrating for me? i'm not sure... Love the smell though.
However, i love how my face look in the morning. Glowy and nice :)

Laneige Sleeping Pack Plus




This is a another highly raved product from Laneige- a sleeping mask !
Sleeping mask is one of the most popular products from Korean branded skincare such as The Face Shop, Beauty Credit etc.


My review : Nice smell~ and my face felt so relaxed and cooling when i applied. And it soaked into my skin pretty quickly, thus you dont have to worry about staining on ur pillows. When i wash my face in the morning, i found that my face is smoother, and glowy. However, if i use this with the Water Bank Essense, i will have many small pimples popped out in the morning! Urggh...i asked a few other friends, and they had no problem with this. My skin is becoming more and more sensitive >.<...

i guess essence + sleeping mask = too rich for me :(

I've tried the sample pack of Laneige Snow Crystal Dual Foundation SPF22/PA+. It is a dual combination of liquid foundation at the bottom and concealer on top (1 for Rm130 only! what a steal!). I saw this in 女人我最大, in fact i've seen quite a number of Laneige products appeared in that programme~
My Review :I love this foundation! It gives sheer-medium coverage, dewy and smooth finish! Moreover it smells very very nice too! All Laneige products smells nice but not those irritating smells.
And it's so easy to use since it consists of both concealer and foundation. Thumbs up for this!

It's non sticky and leaves skin smooth.
but i love RMK one better :)

My review :This cream is non sticky, leaves skin very very smooth..but gave me breakouts..argh..
i think this range is for suitable for more mature skin
Cant give ratings for this though cuz i used once only..haha cuz heard others said that hafta use many times then wont have breakouts and will have very very smooth skin..
but...i dont dare to try~ i am scared that the breakouts will become worst n worst..zzzzz

because there are many China made Laneige products..and they are not like those Anna Sui, M.A.C etc which are easier to identify,
when i saw the photos bet the real one and fake one..i cant really differentiate..

Natural Eye Makeup Application

Jenny had asked me how to apply eyeshadow from like uhm..i think 1 year ago till now...i still cant give her a very good answer...hahahaha...
sorry ya Jenny..
so i decided to do a simple tutorial on eyeshadow application..

Things that i used :
From left : Skinfood Ginkgo BB Cream #2
RMK Creamy Makeup Base
KATE Eyebrow Colour
MAC Brow Finisher - Clear
MAC technakohl eyeliner - Earthline

Shiseido The Makeup Colour Collection Palette
Top layer is the eyeshadows, while the bottom layer is Lipgloss+Lipstick

1. Brush on or tap on the golden beige eyeshadow (3rd from the left in the palette) on the whole eyelid with an eyeshadow brush or a finger, do not apply higher than the crease or else ur eyes will look puffy
2. Apply the dark brown shadow (1st from the left in the palette) on the 3rd quarter at the end of the eye lid
3. Then brush on the golden olive colour(3rd from left in the palette) on the 2/3 of the eyelid starting from the inner "V" (next to the nosebridge) of the lid towards the middle. And the BLEND! Blend the shadows well 2gether.
4. In order to make ur eyes appear rounder, apply the golden beige shadow on the bulge of ur eyeball.

*p/s i'm so sorry i had mix up the colours of the indicators >.<
at first green =" green"
but now green = brown and brown = green..hope u understand what i mean*

and voila~ u will have something like this

Line a brown eyeliner as close to both upper and lower lash line as possible.
Then, curl ur lashes (heat the curler with hair dryer first-but not too hot or else u will hurt urself)
Apply a coat of mascara base and a few coats of mascara

It will look like this under natural sunlight

Then lightly tap on some foundation on ur lips to conceal ur natural lip colour
Apply a pinkish lipstick ( i used the last one from left) and coat with a layer of clear lipgloss

To complete the look don't forget to brush on a light layer of blusher
-pink / peach will be suitable for fair skin
while darker skintone will look good in bronzy colour for that sun-kissed look

Baby Pink Lipgloss + Lancome Juicy Tubes

I begged Anita to help me buy Baby pink stuffs when she went to HK, unfortunately all that was in stock was lipglosses ...and to my dismay i found Baby Pink lipgloss in Watsons too! Haha..i'm very sorry Nita nita for troubling u >.< style="text-align: center;">

Price : Dirt Cheap! With quality of cuz ;)
Lasting power : 6/10
Packaging : 10/10 ( I love squeeze tubes, cuz it's easy to apply and fuss free)

As for Lancome Juicy Tubes, i bought Lychee. It is a darker pink with lots and lots of tiny glitters. I dont really like this colour as it washed me out, made me look paler and unhealthy. Hmm..is it just me or what.. i feel it smells like plastic. Everytime i slatter on this i felt like slattering on a thick globe of plastic on my lips...>.<

Bobbi Brown Brushes

Bid this set of short handled bobbi brown brushes off ebay,
expensive they are but tools can last forever if it's well taken care of..
I usually clean the brushes with mild body shampoo and air dried.
While i clean my eyeliner brush with a soaked cotton of eyemakeup remover..

Brushes included are ( From top to bottom) :
1) Blush
2) Face Blender
3) Eye shader
4) Eye smudger
5) Eye contour
6) Eye shadow
7) Eye brow
8) Ultra fine eyeliner
9) Eyeliner
10) Lip brush

Most of the brush are in great quality! very soft and picks up colour well. But some do prick my skin a bit >.<
and....there are so many of them! i dunno which is which @_@
till now i've only used ultra fine eyeliner , eye smudger and face blender the most, the rest are still new or used 1 or 2 times only..
hmm..i will make myself learn how to use all of them :)

Loreal Blush Delice

01 - Pink Marshmallow

This colour is so sweet!~ and with the right amount of shimmers which make ur skin glow healthily~ It came with a brush which is quite nice and soft, and there's a mirror inside too! However, it does not last as long as i wish it would >.< maybe i'm too used to using The body shop lip n cheek tint / benetint which can last for the whole day..

04 - Rosewood

This colour is much darker compared to pink marshmallow and i used it to contour my cheeks..
the pigmentation is great! just a light hand will do, and it has tiny tiny shimmers which i like very much.

Majolica Majorca released new collection!! And i was so attracted to this collection so much bcuz :
1) The ads are pretty!!
2) This time it consists of 4 shadows instead of the usual palette with 3 shadows+1 eyeliner/cream shadow which is quite useless.
3) I seldom buy Greenish shadows!

Overall there are 3 eyeshadow palettes, mascara, and lipglosses in this collection.However, i only bought 2 of the eyeshadow palette..others doesnt interest me much though...

First of all, isn't the box pretty??
It's small, portable and it's so easy to use because it shows application steps at the back of the box, how nice :)

This palette consists of a very pretty green, dark green, pearly white, and a very special trick on eyes - gold irrediscent.
The colours are pretty and has very good staying power..

Grabbed some photos from a blog which was taken from some taiwanese mag which explains very clearly about this palette.

And even shows you how to apply !
Now after learning this you can go ahead and take ur own ads :P
However, i dont follow the steps as i dun have such pretty eyes :(

4) Trick on powder - This is gorgeous! it has purplish irrediscent,
when applied it gave different colours from different direction, sometimes purple, sometimes pink..gorgeous~~

And out of my 6 palettes, i lurve this new collection the most!

After trying majorlica majorca for the first time i couldnt help myself but to buy more more MORE of their stuff! they are simply gorgeous~ and the golden logo really did attracted me alot.. Majolook - BR762 , From left - Gold, olive gold, golden brown

Perfect for casual outings and they are full of sparkles!~ pretty indeed :)

Majomajo's lipgloss is sooo tiny that i was so surprised when i received it.. it looked quite big in the photos 0.o, but it's very very cute indeed. I also bought Silkygirl's juicy fruity lipgloss in cherry tea and look at how both of them differ in size! and silkygirl's lipgloss is so cheap also only RM9.90 after discount..However silkygirl's gloss have this very weird smell & taste that made me felt dizzy and uncomfortable, the colour is nice though and the gloss is not very sticky. While majomajo's lipgloss smell & taste nice!~ light fruity smell & taste.. but i think i chose the wrong colour.. this colour looks very common.. it's just like a very clear gloss..should have chose a more pigmented colour.

Silkygirl lipgloss , rating : 5/10 ( the smell is too overwhelming)

Majomajo lash expander

Rating : 9/10

This is a great mascara!! holds curl and just like what it promised to do.. lengthen my lashes up to 15x as long as my normal lashes and made my lashes look black, thick & long...holds curl well..and it had a comb applicator which can make my lashes look 根根分明. The negative side is it's very very VERy hard to remove!!

This reminds me , eleanor always asked me how to remove mascara but i didn't answer her properly..so here goes..

1. Apply vaseline on ur lashes using a cotton bud or ur fingers

2. Wet facial cotton with eye makeup remover

3. Press the facial cotton on ur eyes for about 5 seconds then lightly wipe off..voila~ done!

or if u have eye makeup remover for waterproof makeup then u can skip the vaseline part..

for majomajo lash expander..i have to use vaseline -> eye makeup remover -> cleasing oil -> eye makeup remover then only can remove @_@

M.A.C Barbie Collection, YSL, The Body Shop, Bobbi Brown

WoohoO! finally bought something from the Barbie Loves M.A.C collection. The products are sold out almost all around the world. I was lucky to get my hands on one lipstick, although it's only one but i'm already pretty satisfied.



This Spring, Barbie is hip, happening and all-M·A·C with a modern rebel attitude and fashionable indie style. On lips, cheeks, eyes and skin, Barbie Loves M·A·C, a limited edition colour collection specially created for all you living dolls.

Esther told me she went to test out the barbie collection's lipstick and she said they are beautiful and glossy too!~ That makes me itch to try it out :P

My recent M.A.C purchases :

For the lipstick, sweet and single is described as Neutral silvered plum with multicoloured pearl (Lustre) in the M.A.C official website. I personally only tried it once and i think it was OKAY only because i don't think the colour really suits me but just for the barbie head on the lipstick it's worth collecting because it's sooooOoo cute~ EDIT : after using it more than twice.. i love the colour very much now!~ the colour is really subtle n got some shining shining dusts..i love the smell too ^^

For the eyeshadow & pigments, i'm so so impressed by it because it's not only super pigmented it's also very easy to blend.. the colours are gorgeous~

M.A.C fluidlines and Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners are one of the hottest gel eyeliner in the market nowadays. I bought the BB gel eyeliner on december last year when i traveled to KL. I love it to bits! it's long wearing,waterproof and easy to apply..u can either draw it into thick or thin lines depends on yourselves. However although many ppl said that it's smudge free, for me i think that it smudges a bit on me, thus i decided to buy M.A.C fluidline to try. Hope that it does not smudge on me. BB graphite shimmer is a little more to grey with slight shimmers and M.A.C blacktrack is pure black without shimmers. Both gel eyeliners can be used as eyeshadows..great for smoky~ For packaging wise, i love BB more than M.A.C because the fluidline is somewhat a little heavier than BB's.

Other cosmetics which i purchased recently :

Yves Saint Laurent Blushing Powder- This blush is super pigmented.. the first time i tried it on my cheeks looked like baboon's bud!! Then i tried to apply with a very very VERY light hand then it appeared very prettily with a slight sheen. Thus i guess buying 1 compact can last me a long long long time as i only have to apply a little each time.

The Body Shop Mini Brush Set. I love this! they are super mini and looks cute~ i have 2 other Body shop's normal brushes and i love all of them! The brushes are very soft and won't poke my skin( as some cheapo brushes will! ouch~!) and most of all they are affordable compared to high end brands like Bobbi brown n M.A.C. i totally can't afford to buy brushes from those brands! 0.o

M*A*D Pigments

Weeee...finally added more colours to my babies~!~
This time i bought multi use mineral pigments...shipped all the way from USA!! Thanks to a fren in Malaysian Babes for letting us ride with her order...

What's mineral makeup pigments u may ask. Well minearal makeup are made of natural ingredients and contains no chemicals or preservatives. And they contain no oils, perfumes, dyes or talc - so they're gentle to the skin Thus it's much saver than some other cosmetics which contain cancerous/dangerous ingredients.

Multi use color pigments can be used as eyeshadow,or add into lipgloss to add some colours, add into ur nail polish, on ur cheeks etc etc... but i guess i will be using them for eyeshadows :)

I bought them in 1/4tsp sample baggies...it can be used for about 20-30times...well that's very good for me as i never finish using eyeshadows.. so this sample baggie is great for me!~
But i feel that baggies are quite troublesome to use so i buy some empty jars... more $$$$ needed!! :(
Tada! I've finished tranferring them from the sample baggies into jars! I have 19 new colours!!! Awesome!!!
